I'm not a huge fan of dwelling on yesterdays, but mine was wild.
I went o Devotional with Gentry yesterday and the member of the 70 (the Japanese one...can't remember his name) told us that if we would do a morning devotional we would have the Lords spirit with us. So here I am, doin what I was told yesterday. Shocking i know.
so here is what I did. I went to lds.org and looked up the words calmer heart, and here is what I found.
And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. Matthew 8:26
How do we become so scared of the world and the Devil and even our own God? Why can we not hear the good news and know that Christ has rebuked the winds and calmed the sea.My Multicultural teacher (Birrell) always talks about God knowing what He's doing, He is not just floundering around up there saying "What are they doing! They're ruining everything!" Our Heavenly Father knows exactly what we need to learn, hear and know. He is our constant companion as members of the church. When we were baptized we were given the gift of the Holy Ghost- a member of the Godhead- a God. This means that every time we walk into a building, God walks in to. He is an integral part of our being and is always there to protect and guide us. I am so grateful for that knowledge!
For about a year now, something my dad once said to me has been flashing behind my eyes constantly. I told him once that everything was going well and that I felt much lighter for some reason. He said, "You must have a lighter heart". That is it exactly, i got rid of things and people and negative thoughts in my mind and came out with a lighter, more focused on Christ, mind.
Have a loverly Wednesday mes amis!
