Our good friends Christine and Jordan and the two of us decided to go on a very romantic date to a haunted house.
Christine and I had this little beauty all picked out.
Perfect. Cornbellys Fall festival + a little haunted maze? We could totally handle it!
turns out the boys had other plans. They picked out this terror
this is how it went.
Driving along I see the road, a sketchy road off the main interstate, the lights sucked out of thier sockets or casting a pukish yellow glow on the large studio building. We turn the corner, christine and I already whimpering a bit, and see a man in a gilly suit rounding the corner, just wandering around sullenly. We pull into the parking lot and a man in a mask and on stilts walks right in front of the car. I slam on the brakes and he sidles over to the side of the car.
By this time christine and I are screaming. I hit the gas again almost bowling over the monster. We screech into one of the poorly marked parking spots, Ben convinced that we almost killed a parking attendant.
Does this look like the kind of place that has parking attendants?!??!
Christine and I are full on fighting with the boys now, absolutely refusing to open our doors when something knocks on the Ben's window. The man in the mask.
"oh crap the guy I almost killed! Don't roll down the window!!"
of course Ben rolls down the window
"Hi!"
"GAHHH!"
the entire car screams.
The masked man backs up from the window and points at me as if to say "you almost killed me, I won't forget"
I'm sufficiently freaked out when ben exclaims "SYD!"
another one flings himself onto my window his arms engulfing my car like he might just suck it in through his hole of a face.
Jordan reaches from behind me to open my window and I think its the monsters hand. More screaming. The monster moves to his window and he open it
"Hi!"
"HISSSSSSSS!!!!!!"
insert monster head and hands IN CAR
thats it. windows go on lock down. christine and sydney screaming. Boys laughing hysterically trying to convince us that this will be great!!
thankfully I drove. making the executive decision, i race out of the parking lot and we safely make it to Thanksgiving point where we spend the night owling and planking on the various structures and laughing our heads off about the poor boys leaving their man cards at The Awakening!"
"welp, good thing Sydney and Christine have a 'SIXTH SENSE' that made them feel horrible at the other place, duh guys! its HAUNTED!"
At least we lived to tell the tale!
Scary! and Funny! :)
